It is easy to say: you are a pure consciousness, you are light, you are love, you are Buddha, you are Jesus. You are who you are.
The one, who recognizes the Truth about themselves however, is eventually the only one with the right to say to themselves: I am God, I am the Master.
Before you grant yourself such luxury, you most likely will want to test all of the methods of your rendezvous with the Truth about yourself, the one you have chosen as your “path of awakening”. You will take a lot of trouble to prove there are some “others” and will learn sophisticated methods of suffering. And then the time will come for the awakening and spiritual “path”. You will meet teachers and guru who know more. Most likely you will want to test yourself denying your teachers, rejecting lessons, not accepting the insights. And so you will join the ranks of castaways on the island of “I myself”, visiting the archipelago of “Yes, but” on your way. You will stand alone in the crowd of Robinsons, such as yourself. You will learn the results of heroic attempt to reach the freedom without taking the responsibility for naming yourself the king of the island.
The most common chain reaction, which is formulated after difficult experiences associated with learning the truth, is connected with the rejection trial and comeback to good old ignorance area of the comfort zone. This reaction is nothing else but the ego’s struggle for proving that “the king is not naked”. In your lifetime you may go through it again. Remember however, that you don’t have to!
Here is how typical adventure to retrieve a Golden Fleece looks like:
You board the ship. A fascination of new experiences of journey towards the unknown, expanded consciousness, admiration for increased abilities of exploring yourself and reality, as well as the enthusiasm associated with decoding restrictive programs of the “ground matrix” – all this gives you time and will to tirelessly dance your explorer’s dance with the other sailors. You also trust the captain of this ship and the newly learnt ways of navigation. Singing your discoverer’s song, you sail away towards you destiny.
Soon however, you reach the limits of your amazement and the ship gets stuck on the rocks of responsibility surrounded by enormous seaweeds of ethics, which need to be fed with moral conventions and habits you brought with yourself down here. Your reluctance to throw your old customs to feed the unknown new world and your awareness that there is no return to the old world, no return to the known “hide-and-seek” game, makes the ship fall into the anarchy. Sailors leave the ship like rats, everyone questions captain’s competence, scattering around the island. They isolate themselves, hiding in the “safe” shelter. Your ye-olde buddies fall into unhealthy suspiciousness, question fiends loyalty, and they own chosen path. And you dive deeper and deeper into your own duplication of ignorance and denial pretending that “ nothing happened”. The island atmosphere gets more tense, conflicts arise. It becomes unbearable.
And so this causes a need for a change. You get out. You see the island full of Robinsons hiding here and there. Funny, but they stubbornly hide themselves from themselves. But you quit the game. You decide to take a full responsibility for your actions, thoughts, emotional states, responsibility for relations with you ye-olde buddies, and the world. You sit down by the central fire and dissolve the illusion of separation which froze your heart right after your escape into the bushes. You see yourself sitting by the fire again, next to the former captain, having nothing to do. You simply give your acceptance and presence to all that meet your eyes. You feel the compassion increasing in your heart and observe the waves of gentleness and peace growing bigger in your thoughts.
More and more friends, former castaways like yourself, gather around you and the fire. Holding hands without expecting anything from each other, you return to the Source. Celebrating re-discovered non-separateness of I – others. You carry on mutual silent Being within your heart, out of a journey. The intuition leads you out from the pathways previously lost in the darkness. The openness and vulnerability is your only clothing. You reject staffs of judgment and comparison that you used until now to choose plumes of power and grace. Together you dance the victory dance. And at the end you discover that the Island has always been Here...
